The 10th World Scientific Congress of Golf will be hosted by the Sanford Sports Science Institute in Sioux Falls, SD Sept 12 - 15, 2022. Presentations, workshops and keynote addresses centered on golf science, technology, coaching, education, and research will take place at Great Shots Golf Facility, including the Sanford Sports Science Institute Golf Research Lab in the Sanford POWER Golf Academy at Great Shots. Previous conferences have been in St. Andrews, Scotland; Phoneix, Arizona; the Gold Coast in Australia, and most recently in Abbotsford, Canada.
Registration:
Registration is open on Eventzilla! Student registration is $450 and standard registration is $650.
You can also sign up for the congress dinner ($75) and golf tournament ($100) when you check out. The Congress Dinner will be held at Great Shots and will include dinner and golfing. The Golf Tournament will be held at the Elmwood Golf Course. Registration will close 9/12 at 12:00 Central Time for all events.
Travel:
We are excited to welcome you to Sioux Falls, SD in September! Sioux Falls is South Dakota’s largest city with many great restaurants and attractions. More details are available in the official visitor guide and the Experience Sioux Falls website. While you are in South Dakota we highly recommend visiting Mount Rushmore and the Badlands which are about a 6 hour drive to the west of Sioux Falls. Travel South Dakota is a great place to learn more about what South Dakota has to offer.
The Sioux Falls Airport (KFSD) is conveniently located near the Sioux Falls Sports Complex where the Congress will be held.
Hotels:
We have room blocks at the Fairfield Inn and Holiday Inn.
Fairfield Inn & Suites: The Fairfield Inn is located on the Sanford Sports Complex in walking distance from the conference location and on the west side of the Sioux Falls Airport (KFSD). An airport shuttle is provided by the hotel and the Blue Rock Bar and Grill is next door. Our room block is $124-129/night+ tax (Monday 9/12 – Thursday 9/15) and can be booked by using our group link. Holiday Inn: The Holiday Inn is located on the south side of the Sioux Falls Airport (KFSD) and is on the Elmwood Golf Course where the Congress Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday September 15. An airport shuttle is provided by the hotel and the Crooked Pint Ale House is next door. Our room block is $138/night+tax and can be booked by calling hotel reservations directly at (605) 331-2040 and then pressing 2 or at this link. The name of the block is Golf Science. Only two (2) reservations per guest are allowed under the block. Additional reservations under the same name in the same block will be cancelled. You may book outside the block at retail rates available at the time of booking.

Sanford International PGA Tour Champions Event:
The Sanford International, a PGA Tour Champions Event, will be in Sioux Falls September 12-18, 2022. There are multiple exciting opportunities for Congress attendees and their families to enjoy the Sanford International and a schedule of events can be found here. Tickets for the Golf Event can be purchased here.
Highlights:
A Pro-Am will be open to the public on Thursday September 15 with free admission to the public.
Youth 15 and under receive complimentary admission to the Sanford International grounds with a ticketed adult.
Sanford International LIVE! will feature music superstar Sam Hunt and take place Thursday, Sept 15 at Great Shots. Hunt is a Grammy-nominated Nashville-recording artist who won the American Music Award for New Artist of the Year in 2015. The Georgia native has charted numerous No. 1 singles during his solo career. He also has song-writing credits for singles from country stars Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney. Sanford International LIVE! is brought to you by our community partners Bell Inc. and EMC. The concert is another addition to a full schedule of events during the Sanford International, Sept. 12-18 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Concert begins at 7:30pm and doors will open at 6:00pm. Tickets can be purchased for the concert here. Concert tickets include a daily grounds tournament ticket for Friday September 16.
