NAMI Texas provides education, support and advocacy for people whose lives have been affected by mental illness. We work closely with our 27 local NAMI Affiliate organizations across the state and nearly  2,000 members. Last year, NAMI Texas improved life in Texas for people with mental illness by:

  • Educating - NAMI Texas offered no-cost training to 251 volunteers statewide so they could offer NAMI signature programs in their communities.
  • Supporting - NAMI Texas facilitated access to support groups and classes for 14,940 individuals whose lives have been impacted by mental health conditions, and
  • Advocating - NAMI Texas championed 10 bills signed into law by the Governor.

The NAMI Texas Annual Conference gathers an expected 300-500 people whose lives have been affected by mental illness. With keynote speakers, workshops, networking opportunities, and exhibits, the NAMI Texas Annual Conference offers attendees opportunities to learn, share and build community.

Attendees can earn up to 9.5 hours of Continuing Education Credit for social workers, counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, and teachers!
