About the Event

The YWEC 2020 Business BootCampis a 12-Week Workshop series where preparation meets opportunity. Under the guidance of seasoned professionals and entrepreneurial masterminds, the WBO-PGC’s YWEC 2020 Business Bootcamp will serve as a roadmap to success for new business owners young, mature, and in between. 

The intensive workshop sessions will equip participants with the fundamental tools to forge a successful business on all fronts.  In following a module structure, we're structuring the info to cater to you and your business needs.

Module I: "So You Think You Started a Business?"focuses on establishing the best practices to create and strengthen your business foundation! 

MODULE 1

INTRO: Welcome to the YWEC 2020 Business Bootcamp! Be prepared to meet your workshop instructors and walk through every aspect of  the 12-week workshop series designed to elevate and establish your business. Please bring your calendar.

Workshop Session 1:Building Your Business Foundation - An intensive workshop session addressing the comprehensive aspects of Development of Your Business Foundation - Market Research ; Business Plan Creation ; Mindset Alignment

Workshop Session 2: Legal Necessities - We're discussing the legal steps you need to take to establish and protect your business - Choosing the most viable legal structure ; Choose a business name ; Register your business - Get federal and state tax IDs - Apply for licenses and permits 

Workshop Session 3:"Show Me the Shmoney" - A workshop addressing the financial aspects of your new business venture: Acquiring financial support (initial capitalization); Open a Business Bank Account

About the Organizer

The Young Women’s Entrepreneurial Collective (YWEC) was created to increase viable involvement from a growing audience of young female entrepreneurs, ages 30 and under, in and around Prince George’s County. The 24-year-old business owner and med school candidate, Jorre Jackson spearheaded the creation of YWEC to improve outreach initiatives to a younger audience and provide a platform to express and influence. YWEC's 2020 Business Bootcamp provides the ideal platform for new business owners of all ages to be equipped with the tools necessary to forge a successful business on all fronts. As a sanctioned division of WBO-PGC, YWEC further contributes to the economic and social power of women-owned businesses. WBO-PGC exists to educate, support and empower women business owners whose businesses serve Prince George's County, Maryland. Since our inception in 1986, WBO has successfully supported business owners by providing the necessary tools for members to establish and cultivate their businesses into flourishing community entities. WBO membership provides multiple opportunities to exchange ideas, information and inspiration -three tools necessary for entrepreneurial success. WBO-PGC is committed to the REAL issues and needs of Women Business Owners, and this season is no exception. This season we will focus on being a community and political force, understanding the issues that will impact our community, our businesses and our lives.
