This training is made possible by a grant through The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services in conjunction with PreventionFIRST!, this training provides adults the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to youth who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate resources.  An interactive evidenced-based program, adopted in over 20 countries, YMHFA teaches a five-step action plan for working with youth in crisis and non-crisis situations.  Suicide prevention is emphasized in this program.  Over two million individuals have been trained in the United States.
