Kids who practice yoga develop strong, limber and healthy bodies, foster creative expression, and increase focus, concentration and attention span. Yoga allows children to discover a sense of awareness and respect for themselves, for others and for the world around them. Join us as Julie Daniel from Yoga for Kids of Central New York demonstrates and teaches ways to incorporate yoga into the lives of our children.

Julie Daniel has been a practicing speech and language pathologist with young children for over 30 years. She began using yoga with her children with special needs and noted their improved motor planning skills, attention span and ability to focus. These observations led Julie to research programs for teaching yoga to children. It was in that search that she discovered YogaKids, the premier international certification program for teaching children. Julie completed the training during 2005-06 and is now a Certified YogaKids Facilitator (CYKF) and YogaKids Trainer (YKT).

The event will be held at the SRC Arena-Otis Suite in Syracuse, NY.
