Shashini Munshi is a Dutch neuroscientist and policy officer at NOW (Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research). From 2012-2018 she performed scientific research on neuropsychiatric disorders at the Erasmus MC, Rotterdam. For this she used stem cell technology. Using this technology Shashini grew living human brain cells in petri dishes. She elucidated on molecular mechanisms that may cause diseases such as schizophrenia and autism. She regularly speaks about her research in science festivals and theater shows, such as Science Battle. In her current role as policy officer at NWO she aims to make science more accessible for the public.

Lucinda Douglas is an international speaker and women advocate. She speaks on personal leadership, empowerment and confidence and teaches women how to be the best version of themselves. When Tineke was born she was supposed to be a boy, (according to her father). She must have felt this somehow because she loved playing with boys when she was little. She entered a male-dominated sport (whitewater kayaking) and she started a business in the outdoor and survival industry. After 22 years, she sold this business in this male-dominated niche. She had no idea that women did business in a totally different way. Most of the female business she knew of, were not thriving. Comparing this with her experience in the men’s world, she could immediately see why this is the case.
Women have a perfect product or service, and they have the right people to work with and treat them and their customers very well, but the business is usually financially not as healthy as it can be.
What if women would adopt some of the male skills but do this in their own female manner Tineke thought?
She started a survey about female entrepreneurship her own country, the Netherlands. She wanted to know what was specific about the way they do business and what is different about business and men. She wrote a report about this study and published it.

The fact that her name literally translates to ‘inspiration’ didn’t seem like a coincidence to those who heard Ilhem sing.
While this ability was innate to her as breathing, she also had an intuitive understanding that natural talent could only carry one so far, and that the artists she idolized had spilled an ocean of sweat before they could make their craft seem so effortless. Ilhem wasn’t even a teenager when she was discovered by France’s Grande Dame of jazz, Elene Dee, who took the young singer under her wings and onto the stages of Lyon, Paris and New York. Born in Lyon to a German/Hungarian mother and an Algerian father, her sound is international as the wide range of cities she lived in, such as Berlin, London, Istanbul, Cape Town, Ibiza, and now Paris. She has established an international sound that presents a natural axis between soul, jazz and world music.
With this vagabond life came an acute appreciation of the diversity of human existence as well as her voice as a woman; of the cultures, rituals, and endemic injustices that defend the communities she embraced as was embraced by. She also came to understand the universality of music - from the jungles of Peru to the monasteries of Myanmar, she learned how the voice and chanting is an essential element of healing and meditating in so many ancient cultures.
This gave way to her endeavors as a sound yoga and meditation teacher, certificated by the «Institut des arts de la voix» in France, using her diligently trained voice to create a more transcendent experience.
This wholistic progression is evident in Ilhem’s myriad collaborations with songwriters and musicians (Ken Rose, Matti Klein, Bokar Cisshoko, Askin Arsunan, etc.) and underground electronic producers (dOp, Luciano, Masomenos, Mike Shannon). After signing with the publishing company TRUELOVE Music (UK), our dedicated songstress decided to produce her debut unencumbered by marketplace shackles, leaving this first release by Ilhem as an uncompromised portrayal of her own storied life, and of the many lives with whom hers intersected.
Ilhem has been as well during the past years making herself a name as a performance artist, participating at various experimental festivals. She is as well currently co-creating a dance and sound based piece with the Syrian choreographer Medhat Aldabaal (Sascha Waltz).
Having spent her life breathing in a lifetime of musical inspiration, she would now close her eyes and exhale.

In October this year she withdrew from active service for politics in Dordrecht, focussing on new challenges.
