We are pleased to invite you to our next Adelaide Step Forward Event - 'Amplify - Sponsoring and Supporting the Women Around You' - on Tuesday 10th September at SkyCity Adelaide.
The professional development will be delivered by DDI's Managing Consultant, Dominique Powrie. Dominique is an experienced an experienced coach, facilitator and leadership development consultant and has a passion and interest in developing leadership capabilities.
SESSION OVERVIEW:
The Step Forward sessions focus on actionable strategies individuals can take to accelerate their careers based on the very latest in research and today’s best practices. This session brings focus to the role others can play, especially leaders, in amplifying the women in their workplace. After hearing the business case for women in leadership and learning how pervasive gender biases can be, participants brainstorm ways they can help women advance their careers by both partnering with women as their allies and being change agents to foster a more gender-inclusive workplace culture. Participants will:
- Increase their knowledge about the benefits of a gender-diverse workforce and leadership pipeline.
- Become more aware of how they can contribute to workplace gender equality.
- Understand the important role men have in being allies for women.
- Feel motivated to actively serve as allies for women.
The professional development session will be followed by a fireside chat where you will hear from SkyCity Adelaide's General Manger David Christian, and Table Games - VIP Manager Mujgan Konanc, who will discuss 'Ally Accelerators' - sponsorship, mentoring and confidence - and share how sponsorship has had an influential and positive effect on their careers.
This event is free to attend, and there will be an opportunity to network with other attendees over drinks and canapés.

We encourage gender balance at our events and acknowledge that men are critical in producing equitable outcomes for women.
