A two night class that explores, entertains and gives better understanding to the world of wine. Classes are divided in two night sessions; a white wine evening and a red wine evening both accompanied with a shared selection of cheeses, antipasto and breads.

 

The class encompasses the following;

 

•          Exploration and understanding the different wine varietals

•          Basic elements in wine-making         

•          Assessing wine through sight, smell and taste

•          Identifying the differences in wine regions and their impact on wine

•          Learn to pick up wine faults and discuss common myths

•          Be able to make food and wine pairings

Before joining The Wine Emporium was working in the hospitality industry for 15 years with vast experience working in luxury hotels, cocktail lounges, wine bars and quality a la carte restaurants in Brisbane and abroad. His experience in this field has been valuable and carried over whereby he’s great pairing wine and food, facilitating with wine and other beverage selections for multiple types of functions, cocktail and beer knowledge and hosting small corporate events. Rob also is our host for our popular Wine Appreciation Courses. A ‘jack of all trades’ guy who oversees the our selection of craft beer and spirits in store with a penchant liking towards Australian and New Zealand wines.
