How is privacy regulated now in the U.S.?  What federal and state laws address the collection and use of personal information?  Is there a meaningful difference between opt-out and opt-in?  Is the U.S. likely to adopt a privacy law like the European Union’s GDPR or California’s Consumer Privacy Act?  Or is it too late to worry about privacy?

If you have wondered (or worried) about whether the privacy of your personal data is addressed under government regulation, please join Northeastern’s Chief Information Security and Privacy Officer Mark Nardone and Professor of Law and Computer Science Woodrow Hartzog for a lively discussion about these and related questions about data privacy, moderated by Barbara Healy Smith, Senior Counsel – Compliance.  We’ll spend time talking about what the privacy law landscape looks like now, and what it should look like, and provide ample time to address your questions.

Please feel free to bring your lunch to this event.
