In the south of France, time stands still. It is a place where man and animal unite, where Guardians of the white horses run along the rivers of the Rhone and Mediterranean Sea in a display of magnificence, incredible beauty and splendor. Join us for this 7-day adventure as we experience and photograph the power, history and grace of these majestic white horses.

ITINERARY

DEPARTURE DAY: JUNE 16, 2018
Depart for Marsielle, France. Most international flights from the US and Canada will arrive the following morning. Please plan your flight to arrive no later than 12:00pm the following morning.

DAY 1: JUNE 17, 2018
Arrive in Marseille, France. Pick-up from airport, and transfer to the Camargue region of France. The afternoon is at your leisure. Relax, enjoy the gardens, pool or spa at your deluxe hotel in the Camargue. Meet & Greet plus Welcome Dinner at 7:30pm. 

DAY 2: JUNE 18, 2018
French breakfast, followed by our first morning session photographing the the white horses. We will spend time this afternoon reviewing images, and making sure all participants are comfortable with their equipment and photographing the horses. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon session with the Guardians and white horses followed by dinner.

DAY 3: JUNE 19, 2018
Breakfast followed by morning session with Guardians and white horses. We will spend our afternoon visiting small French villages throughout the region to photograph and enjoy French cuisine. Afternoon session with white horses followed by dinner.

DAY 4: JUNE 20, 2018
Breakfast followed by morning session with Guardians and white horses. Lunch in local village followed by photo review and visit to the Parc Ornithologique which hosts a variety of birds including thousands of pink flamingos. Afternoon session photographing the white horses followed by dinner.

DAY 5: JUNE 21, 2018
Breakfast followed by a photo session at the Parc Ornithologique photographing pink flamingos and other bird species. Today we will transfer to our deluxe hotel in Avignon, France. We will spend the evening exploring, photographing and dining this charming region. 

DAY 6: JUNE 22, 2018
Sunrise field session in the south of France followed by breakfast at hotel. We will spend the day visiting and photographing historic villages in the region. Sunset field session followed by dinner.

DAY 7: JUNE 23, 2018
Breakfast followed by transfer to Marseille, France airport. Please arrange your flight departure for afternoon, but for no earlier than 11:00am.

*Please note that lunches and dinners mentioned in schedule are not included in the cost of your workshop. Spa services are also not included.

DEPOSIT of $1500 USD is required to secure your spot in the workshop. Balance is due 120-days prior to workshop. An invoice will be sent for payment due.

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT: Prices are based on room share. You will be paired with another participant in a deluxe hotel. If you would like your own room, a single supplement charge of $750 USD.

SPOUSAL SUPPLEMENT: Non-photographing spouses are welcome at all JKPW workshops. A supplement of $2800 USD will apply to cover lodging, breakfast, all transportation and admissions. We do request that non-photographing spouses that will accompany the photographers to the private horse sessions be mindful of all photographers needs to be up front and close to the running horses.

TRIP INSURANCE: Please secure trip insurance for your workshop. There are several travel insurance companies on the market that will provide basic coverage for minimal price to cover the cost of your workshop should you need to cancel or if any unforeseen circumstance arises. As with any international travel, unforeseen circumstances can arise that prevent travel to a foreign country. An unexpected injury or illness that may prevent you attending is not grounds for refund. Please see policy below.

CANCELLATION POLICY SPECIFIC TO THE WHITE HORSES OF THE CAMARGUE, FRANCE:

Cancellations made prior to Feb. 16, 2018 are refundable less a $500 fee. 
Cancellations made on or after Feb. 16, 2018 are non-refundable.
*Please note that private horse sessions, guardians, local guides and all lodging is paid in advance, and we must adhere to their cancellation policies. No refunds for any reason can be offered or workshop credits given for any circumstance on or after Feb. 16, 2018. Please protect your investment with trip insurance.
