Christina Broderick

Christina Broderick is a clinically trained Licensed Social Worker, a Psychotherapist, a Certified School Social Worker, and an Adjunct Professor, who is passionate about ensuring mental health becomes a priority for all.
She has worked across the entire lifespan, from elementary-aged students to the older adult population, all covering a wide array of needs and challenges. Having a professional background in program coordination and management, as well as clinical support and services, Christina has been able to blend her experience with her expertise to work with clients internationally. Her passion stems from first-hand frustrations she experienced with the gap that exists in foundational mental health concepts and skills for all.
Christina holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Spanish from La Salle University in Philadelphia and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston University.
Christina has lived in Los Angeles, California serving with AmeriCorps, spent a summer on an island in Spain studying Spanish, loves playing sports and is a proud first-generation college graduate, first-generation American (Jamaican roots!), and first-generation business owner.

When not working with clients or teaching students, she serves as a volunteer mentor coach for a national nonprofit that supports the economic mobility of first-generation college students, as well as an Associate Board Member, leading their Engagement Committee.

Deb Frank has been an integrative massage therapist, Reiki master and teacher, personal and professional coach, and trainer for over 20 years. She also has a master’s degree in social work. Deb applies a strength-based, holistic model, rooted in social work philosophies, to her healing practice. Deb’s extensive and diverse education, training, and experience help to provide each individual with a personalized session that promotes healing. She considers her role as one that creates awareness, facilitates change, and holds space for others to do their own work physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. She believes that no two people are alike, and therefore no two sessions are alike.

Michele Sneed
Interim Social Work Department Chair

Michele Sneed, DSW, LGSW, Assistant Professor, Program Coordinator-Austin Campus, and Interim Social Work Department Chair started working at the College of St. Scholastica in the Social Work department in Fall 2016. Michele completed her Doctoral Degree in Social Work through Capella University. She obtained her MSW from the University of New England, her BSW degree from Winona State University, and completed the Infant and early childhood mental health certificate program through the University of Minnesota. She spent years of her career working within the child welfare system and in the recent past, Michele has worked as a family therapist. Further experience has included development of curriculum for community groups, facilitation, coordination of family meetings, authorship, and case management.

Hilary Weaver

Hilary Weaver is a social worker, educator and researcher. Her work explores how social work and other helping professions can be more responsive to culturally diverse people, with a focus on Indigenous Peoples and refugees. She views these populations through the lens of their common experience as displaced people who have often experienced trauma and are enveloped in foreign cultural contexts.
Weaver has written on a variety of issues impacting Indigenous Peoples, such as social policy, health and well-being, intergenerational trauma, education, environmental justice and more. Her book projects include a volume on contemporary Native American issues viewed through the dual lenses of trauma and resilience.
Weaver is Lakota and has lived much of her adult life in Haudenosaunee territory in Western New York.
