IStructE Regional Group Committee is inviting you to an online webinar by Rajavel Inbarajan.
The presentation will mainly cover the waterproofing protection of concrete basements and underground structures as per BS8102:2009. The focus of the presentation will be on design philosophy, site evaluation, inspection & survey of existing structures, watertight design, grades of basements and barrier protection types.
To maintain the relevance of this topic with the water retaining structures, at the outset, the presentation will briefly highlight on the tightness classes specified for concrete structures for liquid retaining/containment in relation to the degree of protection required as per EC2: Part 3. It will touch on the crack width design of concrete structures as a matter of interest and for the benefits of the attendees.
This workshop is suitable for practicing Civil and Structural engineers, young engineers in their formative years, engineering students and academics who wish to enhance their knowledge and understanding on the design and construction of mega water retaining structures, basements and underground structures.
