BRANCH VISIT TO THE RAF UXBRIDGE MUSEUM - BATTLE OF BRITAIN BUNKER
PROGRAMME INTRO
The RAeS Heathrow Branch Visit to the RAF Uxbridge Museum - Battle of Britain Bunker, has planned the meeting at the main entrance at 12:00 noon.
"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few".
These words were first spoken by the Prime Minster Winston Churchill on the 16th August 1940, upon leaving the No.11 Group Operations Room at RAF Uxbridge.
The Battle of Britain Bunker is the Royal Air Force's primary Force Development and Public Engagement asset. The Bunker housed the Fighter Command No.11 Group Operations Room throughout the Second World War, the room from which most of the RAF's side of the Battle of Britain was coordinated. Key decisions that would decide the fate of the nation were taken in the Bunker throughout 1940 and it was thanks to the tireless work of the plotters and controllers that the RAF's fighter pilots managed to keep the Luftwaffe at bay.

NOTE FOR REGISTRATION
Thanks for registering your attendance via our Eventzilla site.
We have streamlined our event registration process by introducing online booking platform as an alternative to email and telephone registeration for our lectures/events, as well as developing a way of tracking numbers on any lectures/events that may be oversubscribed.
When you book, please select the relevant ticket option, and the number of tickets you would like. The tickets will be automatically emailed to you, as there is currently no option for us to produce a ticket at the door.
The application asks for both registration and attendee details - even if there is only one person on the booking, you must fill in all fields. If you are reserving more than one ticket please ensure you enter the name of all attendees so they are reflected on the attendee list.
If there is any problem incurred during the registration process, or if there's anything we can improve on this tool, please contact the Branch Secretary –
