Title: Intro to Executive Function

Description:

Are you tired of battling with your child to get school work done?

Ready to see your child live up to his or her potential without your constant nagging?

In this introduction to Executive Function, students will identify their specific strengths and weaknesses in executive function skills through self-evaluation and learn effective tools for managing emotions and building motivation for academic success. Participants will walk away with a toolkit of mindfulness techniques and an action plan for achieving big goals.

Title: Writing Workshop

Description:

Does your child struggle with getting his or her ideas down on paper?

Our Writing Workshop teaches students our foolproof method for organizing ideas for academic essays. Students learn that writing involves a sequence of steps and acquire templates to help with outlining, drafting, and editing multi-paragraph essays.

Title: Note-Taking Basics

Description:

Does your child struggle with capturing the important ideas from classroom lectures? Learning to take good notes can increase test performance and ease the transitions to middle and high school.  In this workshop, students will learn about the importance of note-taking and develop skills for note-taking in any class setting.
