girls + data eLearning Portal Launch
We are launching our brand NEW eLearning Portal where girls + data students can continue to learn about careers in data analytics! Learn at your own pace any time.
Available courses will include 1) Introduction to Tableau Public, 2) Introduction to Data Visualization, 3) Introduction to Data Privacy & Ethics, 4) Introduction to Predictive Analytics, 5) Introduction to the Scientific Method, and 6) Data & Design: Women in Movies. New courses will be added quarterly.
In this webinar, the students will:
- See a demo of the new eLearning Portal
- Hear from a panel of course instructors
- Learn how to sign up
- Win prizes and have a dance party with the girls + data team!
All attendees will be receiving swag (lip balm, pen, sticker) in the mail. Attendees will also have the chance to win a girls + data hoodie.
What will you need to participate in this event
1. Computer with internet connectivity and web browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer)
2. A camera and microphone
Targeted at young women grades 5-8, but any student is welcomed.

Girls will need to sign into the event a few minutes before webinar start time to ensure we start on time.
Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?
The event is targeted at young women grades 5-8, but with strong computing skills a younger attendee will enjoy themselves.

What measures is girls+data doing to ensure a safe virtual training experience?
With the latest Zoom issues, girls+data is taken the following the security measures:
- password protected Zoom meetings
- only registered email addresses will be admitted
- meeting will not start without the host
- volunteers monitoring the chat
- restricted content sharing to girls+data hosts only
