Social workers are agents of change and at this juncture in our nation's history, our voices are needed more than ever. During the month of July, we'll be hosting a pair of webinars on social work and advocacy which will culminate in two days of virtual action July 28-29. Using the tools provided during the two webinars, we'll be asking our members to take some time on July 28 and July 29 to make phone calls to their local, state, and nationally elected officials to advocate for police reform.

Feel free to drop in and participate when you can. We'll be hosting live sessions on Zoom and Facebook with NASW chapter leaders to discuss advocacy issues that must be addressed and providing resources and calls to action for social workers throughout New Jersey and New York City.

Registering for this campaign will provide you with login information for all components of the NASW-NJ and NASW-NYC virtual advocacy campaign, including the two pre-campaign workshops (7/16 and 7/21), live campaign stream on Facebook, and post-campaign recaps.

We recommend registering for each of the pre-workshops individually, as well as registering for the Advocacy Campaign. This will ensure you receive reminder emails for each of the events.

Be sure to participate in our workshops in advance of our Advocacy Day:

Social Work Identity & Advocacy on July 16 at 1:00pm

Virtual Advocacy Tools & Training on July 21 at 5:00pm

More information will be sent to you in you via email. If you don't receive your confirmation email, please check your spam folder.
