Michigan State University, Buffalo, and Uvalde are just a few places that have experienced a mass violence tragedy in recent times. These incidents have highlighted the need for multidisciplinary collaboration. While we hope these incidents never happen, ICPTTA wants your community to be prepared if they do. Most law enforcement entities have plans to neutralize the threat, but are you ready for what comes next? Victims –surviving and deceased—and their families have a number of medical, financial, and emotional needs. A comprehensive, coordinated response effort demands the integration of law enforcement, emergency management, and victim services.

This one-day training is free to Leave No Victim Behind VII registered guests. Otherwise, you can attend this seminar for $60.00. We will introduce the basic structures, processes, and multidisciplinary relationships required for victim-centered mass violence responses during the seminar. Attendees will hear from responders to mass violence incidents and leave with the foundational knowledge and resources to jumpstart mass violence response planning in their communities.

The Improving Community Preparedness to Assist Victims of Mass Violence and Domestic Terrorism: Training and Technical Assistance (ICP TTA) program is funded by the Office for Victims of Crime. Directed by ICF, in cooperation with the International Association of Chiefs of Police, National Compassion Fund, National Organization for Victim Assistance, National Sheriffs’ Association, and a cadre of subject matter experts, ICP TTA provides training and technical assistance using 16 best practices to close the gap between emergency management and victim services operations.
