Please join us to learn details about free legal services that are available for veterans and military families through five local legal service providers: South Texas College of Law’ Veteran’s Clinic (Clinical Professor Diana Carlson), The Beacon (Justin Thompson, Beacon Law Program Director), the Military Justice Clinic of the University of Houston Law Center (Adjunct Clinical Professor Jason Marquez), the Military and Veterans Unit of Lone Star Legal Aid (Andrew Moore, Managing Attorney) and the Veterans Legal Initiative of Houston Volunteer Lawyers/ Houston Bar Association (Andrew Lehman, Supervising Attorney). In addition, Jason Wise, Collaboration Manager of Combined Arms, will share information about non-legal resources available through veteran-focused nonprofit agencies so that every veteran and military family can easily access the resources needed to thrive in our Houston community.
