You’re invited to participate in a unique Veterans Recruiting Event on August 25th, 2016. This FREE event is hosted by the Virginia Transition Assistance Program (VTAP) in partnership with the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program.

This recruiting event connects V3 employers with qualified Veterans, military spouses, National Guard and Reserve job seekers in the Richmond area. Employers will have the opportunity to present their agency's mission and job openings directly to a pool of pre-screened candidates that are eager to bring their talent and experience to your team!

Why this program is different

Unlike a traditional job fair during which candidates circulate to employer tables, this event allows employers to pre-screen resumes before speaking with small groups of Veterans in a  “speed-dating” style.This event turns the tables, allowing employers to go from table to table at timed intervals getting to know each group of pre-screened Veterans. Event coordinators will also work with employers to match their job postings to candidates, and work with candidates to match them to employers.

Our partners will also be pre-screening Veteran applicants prior to the event, and participating employers can be confident that the Veterans in attendance have the hard credentials and soft skills required for a successful workplace fit. Employers must have open jobs in which they’re actively seeking candidates to fill as of August 25th, 2016 to qualify. To ensure a quality event, employer spots are limited!
