The Wine Emporium Education Centre, 17, Newstead, QLD, 4006, Australia.
Two fantastic nights of champagne education - tantalize your taste-buds and experience exquisite aromas and textures while learning about that wonderful wine – Champagne!
Eight non-vintage champagnes are tasted the first night to examine House styles, with eight vintage champagnes on show the following week to highlight the effects of different years. You will be taken on a marvellous trip through the great vineyards in La Champagne France.
Bernadette O’Shea has been saluted by France’s finest champagne makers. They pay tribute to her exceptional palate, profound champagne knowledge, and the enthusiasm with which she imparts her skill. She has been honoured in Australia since 1984, when she became the first non professional woman to win the coveted Vin de Champagne Award, an award she currently co-judges.
A full-time champagne consultant and educator, she lives in Brisbane, enjoys a huge personal following of former and perennial students, and travels professionally both in Australia and Champagne, France. Bernadette has been inducted as a Dame-Chevalier of the L'Ordre des Côteaux de Champagne and was made a Dame Officier of the order in 2010 and in 2014 appointed "Dame Chambellan". In addition, Bernadette has been awarded the Diplome d'Honneur Corporation des Vignerons de Champagne or St Vincent's Award for her champagne teaching. She has also been invested with the Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite Agricole, a knighthood from the French Government for her contribution to the champagne industry.
