Using Turnitin for assessment offers a more student-centred approach to assignment submissions, where the benefits of accessibility, combined with rich in text feedback aligned to a marking criteria and a faster turn around process gives markers the ability to effectively communicate feedback to their learners.

The hands-on session will provide tutors with an opportunity to explore Turnitin for assessment, discuss best practice for it's use including limitations and provide guidance on support and process.  After attending the 1-hour session tutors will be equipped to assess the suitability for their assessments and how to share the benefits with their students through online marking and feedback.
