Tuesday Euchre Night

Our Brewmaster (Adam Cherry) will be running the Euchre games. Please see below for details.

• Games will be every Tuesday from 7-9 starting January 14th 
• Teams play 4 games a night, scorecards are submitted at the end of the night and tallied. (the organizer gives a 5-minute warning at the 25 minute mark)
• The winning group of two at the end of the night will get two tokens for a free 12oz pour
• Each week ½ the teams stay at their tables and the other ½ move, the locations and order are random. 

Rules are standard:

1. To determine who deals first, one person will flip a card in front of each person playing. The first person to be dealt a Black Jack is the first to deal
2. If you order up your partner, you must go alone
3. Stick the Dealer - if the dealt card is not ordered up and then no one chooses a suit the dealer must call trump
4. To order up, pick up or call trump you must have at least one “natural” trump in your hand (Left Bower doesn’t count)
5. Full points are awarded past 10: if a team wins 11-7 then 11 points will be awarded. Keep this in mind as points are used as tie breakers when two teams have the same # of wins
6. No table talk - hand ends if table talk occurs
7. If a team reneges (does not follow suit when they could have) then the opposing team automatically gets 2 points.
8. The first team to reach 10+ points or the team with the highest # of points after 30 minutes wins the round.
9. If the game is tied after 30 minutes one more hand will be played to break the tie
10. Teams not fully present by the start of play must forfeit and the opposing team will be awarded 10 points.
11. Either or both team members may provide a substitute team member
12. Scoring:

1. Partnership making trump wins 3 or 4 tricks - 1 point
2. Partnership making trump wins 5 tricks - 2 points
3. Alone hand wins 3 or 4 tricks - 1 point
4. Alone hand wins 5 tricks - 4 points
5. Partnership or alone hand is euchred - opponent scores 2 points
