South Coast Field Days - Cobargo Show Grounds, 77 Avernus St, Cobargo, NSW, 2550, Australia.

This workshop is a great introduction to the wonderful world of carving a spoon or spatula straight from a sustainably sourced log. You will be shown how to safely use a small axe and knife to carve useful and everyday kitchen goodies. All tools and materials are provided, and no experience is needed. Just turn up and whittle away :)

This workshop is for people aged 16 and over.

Jeff Donne is one of Australia's best known spoon carvers with many years of carving and teaching under his belt. He teaches the traditional method of spoon carving where a small axe and a sharp knife are used to slice away layers of wood from a freshly cut log. It's pure analogue bliss!
