Ulster County BOCES, 175 Route 32 North, New Paltz, New York, 12561, United States.

Air-infiltration results in a multitude of issues that may result in callbacks, such  as durability, moisture and comfort.  In addition, some states such as Texas, Maryland, New York and New Jersey now have energy codes that call for blower door testing and meeting the 3 air change per hour threshold.  These factors have resulted in a shift within the industry towards tighter homes nationwide.

In this new reality, building professions find themselves in a position where they need better solutions, while balancing that against the need to manage their construction schedule and budget.  This seminar brings together a panel of diverse experts. The intention is to provide attendees with:

  1. A good understanding of air-infiltration/ blower door testing
  2. The challenges associated with today’s practices
  3. New solutions that might better address the builder needs.

We are capping the attendance to promote greater interaction within an intimate setting with the experts, where they can share learnings and case studies. As a result of the limited spots, please sign up early to avoid disappointment. Our goal is for attendees to leave better informed about how they might improve their current practices and expose them to new strategies that may better suit their specific requirements, whether its building a home to a high performance standard such as Netzero, or code minimum . This series would be beneficial to builders, architects, energy raters, framers, code officials, and insulators.
