Texas Southmost College, ITECC, 301, Brownsville, TX, 78520, United States.

We've all heard the news stories, "officer killed in a routine traffic stop." The stop was NOT routine, in a routine traffic stop the officer goes home at the end of the night. We must not get stuck in the mindset of "it's just another..." Telecommunicators and responders alike can become complacent. Complacency equals mistakes, and mistakes can mean lost lives.

This class will focus on the calls that tend to become "routine." The class will discuss ways to avoid complacency and ensure responder safety.

This is a heavy, but necessary, topic!
