Hat Creek Camp, 7145, Brookneal, VA, 24528, United States.

The Village is HCC’s overnight camp experience for young and first time campers. With loads of exciting activities your child will never be bored and will come home with stories to tell!  Our specially trained staff will take care of all your campers needs over their five nights at camp. At the Village we treat everyone like a member of the family, so come and be apart of our family this summer!

An Incredible week of Hat Creek summer camp includes:

Ziplines, Slip n Slides, laser tag and more!

Your kids will spend every moment with our highly trained, college aged staff. Our mentor-minded counselors model confidence rooted in the Gospel and encourage faith while playing hard.

Campers will have countless guided conversations centered around the Gospel.

Cabin groups eat, play, and stay together, promoting community and the opportunity for lasting relationships.

Dance parties, costume parties, messy parties – each night there is a different themed event tailored for your kid’s age and gender!

We have trained staff for every situation: certified activity specialists, meal-time pros, homesickness experts, healthcare professionals, and experienced leadership with an emergency response plan on hand.

Our camper to staff ratio ranges from 5:1 in the cabin, to even 3:1 depending on the activity.

Say goodbye to phones, media, video chats, and all the social pressures and disconnection that comes with it. Your child will be fully present.

Daily Schedule & Camp Activities

Every day at The Village starts with a delicious family-style breakfast in The Dining Hall! After some cabin time getting ready for the day, it’s camp specific activities until lunch— for example: Your campers may spend the morning canoeing on our five acre lake or dodging blaster fire while playing laser tag. They may learn about God’s creation on one of our engaging nature hikes or embrace their creative side during arts & crafts!

After lunch and a short rest period, campers head to their afternoon activities where they may participate in a number of things from our rock wall to archery! After an hour of action packed activities, campers will have a chance to hangout with their cabin during a structured free time. Free time ends around 6:00 and dinner begins!

Following dinner is many campers’ favorite part of the day— the evening service. Here, campers will experience fun, games, dancing, singing, and age appropriate Bible lessons. Services have a conversational feel and present stories from the Bible, then provide time for campers to ask questions in a small group setting. When small groups have concluded, every camper will enjoy the camp-wide evening activity. From block parties, to carnivals and skit night, it’s always an unforgettable time! Campers head back to their bunkhouses between 9:30 and 10:00 to get ready for bed & Counselors make sure everyone gets the rest they need because they’ll wake up in just a few short hours and do it all over again!
