Leave your physical books at home, because you’ll be presenting your work just like you would in an agency. Then, the ad agency pro leading your session will dive deep into your portfolio and lead the group in a working session to identify what’s working, what could be improved, and give you actionable insights on how to make those changes right there in the room. You’ll feel what it’s like to present your work in an agency setting, get some practice giving feedback to other people’s work, and best of all you’ll leave with a better book. Plus, at the end of the event, we’ll give away cash prizes for Best Copywriting, Best Design, and Best Idea. It’s a crash course in the creative process that will get your portfolio looking smarter and better than it ever has before.
6 students of the same discipline (copywriting, art direction, content creation, and design) are paired with a working agency professional from some of the top shops in the country.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
Come prepared with your online portfolio or a pdf with 2-5 ideas. The reviewer will take a spin through your portfolio and zero in on one idea that has the potential to be even better. Along with the other students in your group, you'll workshop the idea on the spot and leave with a fleshed-out / improved design piece or campaign. You will be presenting your work by sharing your screen. AWARDS & PRIZES
Cash prizes will be awarded for Best Copywriting, Best Design, and Best Idea. To be considered for an award please submit one piece of work NO LATER THAN APRIL 8 at 12:00 pm. Work submitted after this deadline will not be considered. You will receive instructions on how to submit your work in your registration confirmation email.
NOTE: Registration closes by April 7 to allow our team time to assign students to their groups.
After registration, you will receive two emails: your confirmation email and a separate email with instructions on how to access the Zoom meeting with your individual access link. This link is unique to you and only allows one registration. Please save this email or add it to your calendar for reference.
