The Resuscitative TEE Workshop is an innovative, practical and multidisciplinary course that provides clinicians with the fundamental knowledge and skills, to perform focused transesophageal echocardiography (TEE or TOE) in critically-ill patients in any acute care setting.

AUDIENCE

This course is designed for Emergency physicians, Critical Care Physicians, Anesthesiologists and other providers practicing in resuscitation settings (i.e. Trauma Surgeons, Physician Assistants, etc.)

COURSE FORMAT

#TheResusTEEWorkshop consists of an asynchronous learning component (pre-workshop materials are provided) and one live didactic session (the workshop). Selected material for self-study including a temporary license to the HeartWorks e-learn platform (http://learn.heartworks.me.uk) are provided in advance. During the one-day "deep dive" workshop, participants receive didactics and hands-on training using HeartWorks high-fidelity simulators.

A detailed description of the workshop’s program is available on the website: https://www.resuscitativetee.com/workshop

MEDIA WAIVER

The Resuscitative TEE Workshop will take photographs and video during its conferences and may, display, reproduce and/or distribute them in educational, advertising or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including the Resuscitative TEE Project’s website (www.resuscitativetee.com). Participants who register for The Resuscitative TEE Workshop grant to the organization of the workshop and the Resuscitative TEE Project team the right to use these photographs and video for such purposes.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that many times unpredictable things happen, and as a general rule our team will do their best to accommodate unforeseen situations with course participants.

Our policy for cancellations and refunds is as follows:

  1. In order to request a cancellation or inquire about a registration modification, a request must be placed using the form available here. (https://www.resuscitativetee.com/2019-workshop-cancellation-policy)
  2. Registration cancellations received up to 45 days prior to the course start date, are eligible to receive a full refund of the registration fee
  3. Registration cancellations received on or after 44 days prior to the workshop, will not be eligible for a refund, unless the workshop has a waiting list and a participant is found to replace the cancelled slot.
  4. All other situations including requests for registration modifications, transference of registrations, etc., will be evaluated individually by the workshop organizers.

 COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES

Our team has developed a comprehensive COVID-19 safety plan, in order to prepare for the return of our workshops. The goal of this plan is to make our live training possible while minimizing the risk for our workshop participants, faculty and staff.

Unlike large format conferences, our courses involve only 24 participants divided in small groups of 4 people. In order to maximize safety, we will modify some aspects of the course format to increase the distance between participants and faculty at all times. Some additional safety practices of this plan include:

  • Redesign of the course curriculum to provide all non-practical components including the course introduction and Q&A sessions (previously held in a classroom style), in a virtual format.
  • Pre-course health screening specifically regarding possible COVID-19 symptoms in the past 14 days for all participants, faculty and staff.
  • The required use of cloth masks throughout the course.
  • Use of carefully chosen venue with continuous ventilation
  • Social distancing during hands-on practice
  • Frequent disinfecting of all training equipment (including simulators)
  • Sanitizer widely available
  • Change in the hands-on simulation rotations in order to minimize number of times that the equipment is transferred between participants
  • Implementation of up-to-date CDC prevention guidelines
