About the workshop:

What do the Vancouver Canucks, the Avengers and the parables of Jesus have in common? They all engage and interact with the cultures of which they are a part. Join us for a workshop on the parables of Jesus as we explore ways in which the parables of Jesus intersect with the culture of the ancient world and the culture of modern day North America as we see it in pop culture, art and even hockey.

You’ll get the chance to do a little sketching, writing, sharing, and hopefully laughing as we look at the parables with fresh eyes. We’ll spend some time looking ancient and modern parables and see how the parables of Jesus can still surprise us!
