Bourbon. Everyone in the Bluegrass is talking about it! But how much do you really know? When was it invented? Can it just be made in Kentucky? Is it only for elitists?

Join us as we appreciate the magic of America's native spirit and shed some light on these burning questions. With our city in mind, we are very proud to announce the launch of the Lexington Bourbon Academy, a 4- part interactive series of classes exploring the basics of bourbon, the art of pairing bourbon with food, bourbon mixology, and advanced bourbon concepts. For the bourbon curious or hardcore enthusiasts alike, our classes will take a creative and welcoming approach to guiding you on your journey in getting to know bourbon a little bit... better. And most importantly - have fun while you do it!

Our first course, Bourbon 101: An Introduction to America's Native Spirit will focus on 5 principles of bourbon.
-History
-Production
-Recipe

We will walk you through an easy to follow framework of understanding the basics of bourbon. We won't just talk about it, we will be tasting it too!

Featured drinks will include:

-W.L. Weller Special Reserve
-Old Grandad Bottled in Bond
-E.H. Taylor Small Batch Bottled in Bond
-Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel

-Light bites also included for the tasting.

Our 101 class will begin on February 12th at 3:00 PM until 4:30 PM. Couples, bourbon newbies, and connoisseurs welcome! A Limited 30 seats available.

Pricing will be all inclusive for the class at $30 for Non-Lexington Bourbon Society Members and $25 for Lexington Bourbon Society Members. To register, be sure to RSVP on our event page! And you can pay online via Eventzilla or onsite the day of the class via cash or Square.

Future classes for the 201, 301, and 401 in the series will be scheduled out monthly. If you complete all 4, we will have "graduation swag" available and provide an optional opportunity to become a certified bourbon steward!

We look forward to seeing you there!
