9pm Session: The Graveyard Shift - Late Night Cinema

On Sat 23rd Feb Mini Mart and Daisy’s Milkbar will open the portal to The Graveyard Shift- Petersham’s Late Night Cinema & Diner. Top billing straight through from Sundance Grand Jury selects to our spicy new directors platform.

Mini Mart will be transformed into a world class late night cinema with Daisys serving your diner dreams of sweet cherry pie and filter coffee past the dawn.

The highlight of the evening will be a special screening of Richard, with the 9pm session including a Q&A with the director, Maya Newell. Over a decade after Richard premiered at the Director’s fortnight in Cannes, Maya Newell returns to Stanmore Road – the place where it all began. Join us for this rare and important screening of Richard, shown in situ by the community of new business owners now working where Richard once worked; and where Maya visited him as a 17 year old Sydney Film School student.

Following this we will have selected short films from around the country. The line up includes Ariel Kleiman, Alyssa McClelland, Liz Kearney, plus hot new talent.

The 9pm session will run until midnight and will include introductions from some of the directors, plus a presentation from the crew at Intangible Goods.
