Lucia Nogueira and Angela Beatriz (Kizomba AfterHours) are proud to present the second annual, The Face Off: Kizomba vs Urban Kiz Weekender.

Angela Moreira

About Lucia Nogueira: Lucia is an International Kizomba and Semba Instructor. Born and raised in Azores islands and I fell in love with Kizomba and Semba when I moved to Lisbon to study. First a few colleagues from Cape Verde had me captivated with their culture, and a couple of years after I was warmly welcomed by Angolan friends into their home where I lived for 5 years. I never had dance classes, I learned by being part of the community and it became a way of life. About Angela Beatriz: Originally from Cape Verde and France, Angela started her dance journey as a kid dancing passada. She started to dance kizomba –and later Urban Kiz– in 2013 when she moved to Los Angeles. She has been organizing dance events in the city since 2014. She currently organizes the monthly Kizomba and Urban Kiz party in Los Angeles, Kizomba AfterHours.
