Nethercote Hall, Nethercote Rd, Nethercote, NSW, 2549, Australia.

Come along to a fabulous day of relaxation where you will learn how to make your own hand carved wooden spoon straight from a tree. It's all about the here and the now; just you, the wood, a simple knife and an emerging spoon: Spoonfulness!

You will learn how to safely carve your own beautiful spoon using just a small axe and a couple of knives. All tools and materials will be provided.

Our workshops are situated on the beautiful NSW Sapphire Coast and surrounds.

Join us for a day of happy slowness :)

For people aged 16 and over. No pets or alcohol please (grog and axes are a bad mix!).

Important information about cancellations and liability

We understand that sometimes things happen and you can't make it to a workshop that you've booked, so we have a cancellation policy to help you decide on what to do should you be unable to make the workshop.

Tickets for all Spoonsmith workshops, including puppet carving workshops and excluding Spoon Jam pre-fest workshops, are non-refundable within four weeks of the workshop you have booked.

If you are aware you will be unable to attend, you may pass your ticket to someone else you wish to come in your place. If there is a waiting list at the time of your cancellation we will pass this onto you to enable the transfer of your ticket. Organising the ticket transfer is the responsibility of the person cancelling their booking.

In the event that you do not turn up a pre-fest workshop, the ticket is non-transferable to another person or date after the event. By booking a ticket to any Spoonsmith workshop, you agree to all of the above.

Liability notice

Whilst arriving, attending and leaving any Spoonsmith workshop, it is your responsibility to ensure that you maintain and adhere to all safety precautions and requirements.

The owners of Spoonsmith, our volunteers and the attending creatives hold no personal liability or responsibility for any damage, loss or theft incurred to personal property, or any physical injuries obtained during the workshop. By attending a workshop, you agree in holding full responsibility and liability for any damages and injuries to personal property and/or parties involved that may occur.

Jeff Donne is one of Australia's best known spoon carvers with many years of carving and teaching under his belt. He teaches the traditional method of spoon carving where a small axe and a sharp knife are used to slice away layers of wood from a freshly cut log. It's pure analogue bliss!
