Taught by a special guest speaker from the Federal Bureau of Investigation ISO Program office, this course provides insight into the technical intricacies of the FBI CJIS Security Policy, to include the following topics:

  • Encryption
  • Two-Factor Authentication
  • Cabling
  • Cloud Computing
  • Media disposal
  • and more

Prerequisites: None. A working knowledge of information security is strongly recommended.

Trainer: Jeff Campbell, CISSP - Federal Bureau of Investigation

Students will attend a 2-hour class on these topics, after which they will be directed to take a 10-question exam to complete within two weeks. After the successful completion of the exam, the student will be issued a certificate of completion.

Course materials:  Materials will be posted to CJIS Portal closer to when the class is held, and all enrolled students will be notified.  

 Please note: this course is limited to current employees and contractors of criminal justice agencies, and is not open to the general public.
