The Artisan Tour with Wine Tasting

We have launched a deluxe version of The Artisan Tour, to include a tutored Natural Wine tasting from an expert from KI Institution, The Milestone.

Taking place on Saturday mornings (selected dates), the tour includes visits to a variety of artisan producers in Kelham Island and ends at The Milestone for a tutored Natural Wine tasting of three wines by a wine expert.

A unique eating and drinking experience, this walking tour of Kelham Island, Sheffield is a fun, social and informative way to discover the area, meet the artisans, and support local producers. Gain insight into the intricate detail of production and sample the finest quality coffee, cheese, chocolate, baked goods and enjoy a WSET-style (Wine & Spirits Education Trust) tutored tasting of top-quality natural wines.

12 places per tour.

Starts 10.30am and end approx 2pm.

£50 plus booking fee.

Tour Highlights:

• Enjoy a locally roasted coffee and gain insight into sourcing and roasting beans, flavours and how coffee is evolving.

• Visit the first and only urban cheesemaker in Sheffield. Enjoy a tour of the cheese make-room and hear about the cheese-making process. Finish with generous samples of their cheeses Little Mester, Sheffield Blue and Yorkshire Poutine Curds served with a thick slice of sourdough from neighbours Depot Bakery.

• Tour the Bullion Chocolate Factory - one of only 15 bean-to-bar chocolate makers in the UK, experience a chocolate factory in action and hear from artisan Max about his story and the month-long process to produce a bar. We sample all four varieties of their chocolate, which sells at £7.99 per bar!

• A surprise stop to enjoy a tasty savoury snack.

• Enjoy your own sweet treat box of homemade tray-bake samples from The Grind.

• Learn how to taste wine with an expert and enjoy 3 styles of premium natural wine.

  All food and drink is included in the price of the ticket and is equivalent to a good-sized lunch.
