TEFAF Afternoon - Museums and the Community: When, Whether, and How Much to Charge?
Museums across the country are struggling to come up with creative responses to these questions. As they attempt to balance financial stability with access to collections and programming, they must also wrestle with questions about how to serve their mission: how do they define their community? what is the responsibility of the museum to the community and does the community have a responsibility in return?
