Teens ages 14-17 are inv ited to attend the movie showing of "The Outsiders" (Rated PG, 91 min.) in honor of Banned Books Week. The use of strong language coupled with gang activity and violence led to this book being challenged/banned initially in 1986. It remains on the top 100 of challenged/banned books. The free event will feature free popcorn and other snacks, as well as a prize.
