TEEN CERT Basic Training Nov 2020

PLEASE READ!  Registrants should plan to attend all units for successful course completion. This series is specifically designed for those aged 14 to 24 and will be held Mon,Tue, and Wed November 23-24-25 from 09:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at  3755 Mark Dabling Blvd. in Colorado Springs. Most local schools accept these hours for community service credit, but be sure to check with your school in advance. Choose your session by the START date listed (Nov 23rd). Registrants will receive further information including emergency contact form and liability waiver after enrolling.

About the training content: CERT training includes basic skills for helping your community - and yourself - be more resilient. If a disastrous event overwhelms or delays professional responders, citizens can be better prepared to protect themselves and support others by applying the knowledge and skills that they learn during training. These skills can help save and sustain their lives following a disaster until help arrives: Local Risks and Hazards - Individual & Neighborhood Disaster Preparedness - Fire Safety & Extinguisher Practice; Hazardous Materials Awareness: Light Search & Rescue - Terrorism Awareness - Disaster Medical Operations - Severe Bleeding Control - Psychological First Aid - Animals in Disasters
