How do you encourage your students to make their thinking visible – to take risks to share what they are thinking, even if it might not be correct? Several groups have created Mindset and Mathematics activities to start off the school year with good tasks and the positive message that all students can be successful at mathematics. In this session, we will work through some of those tasks as learners and begin to think about what we can do the first week of school to build community and a growth mindset for learning mathematics.
