3-Act Math – Modeling with Mathematics
We want all students to be able to say, “I can model with mathematics”. How do we provide
our students an opportunity to engage in all steps of the modeling cycle? You have probably
heard of Dan Meyer through his TED talk on math textbooks needing a makeover.
Experience a few of his Three Act lessons and spend time planning one for your students
and enacting it with other teachers.
