Take a Hike Summer Challenge
What?
NIYC is sponsoring a Take a Hike Summer Fitness Challenge for ABQ area Native families. The summer challenge is get families moving and excerising in a safe way during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first 35 families who register will receive family packs - this includes water bottles, caps, sunscreen, bug repellent, and snacks.
Registered families who complete more then 3 of any of the following: hikes, biking trips, walking activies will be entered in a raffle for gift cards ranging from $150 to $75.
Who?
ABQ area Native families with school age children.
When?
Families will commit to completing 2 or more hiking, biking, or walking activities from July 1 to August 31, 2020.
Where?
Hiking, walking, biking can take place around Albuquerque. A limited number of gas cards will be available - through reimbursement - to families who travel to hiking/biking areas farther than 25 miles from Albuquerque. Must speak with NIYC staff for details on gas card reimbursement.
Gift Card Raffle Prizes!
All registered families who complete more than 3 activities will be entered into a gift card raffle - a total of 12 gift cards will be awarded ranging from $150 for families who complete 5 or more activities to $75 for families who complete 3 or more activities.
All participating families must submit a log showing their hiking, biking, walking activities and pictures of their family to be entered into the raffle.
