2-Day Tactical Shooting Skills
Pistol/Carbine

Class is limited to 14 students.
 
Our two-day Tactical Shooting Skills class is intended for the shooter that wants to challenged to improve their skills on the pistol and the carbine/patrol rifle. This class will include 16-20 training hours over two days, and will test the student's skills on several aspects of their chosen weapons. Accuracy of fire will be stressed in this class, and students will be held to a high standard.

LE Pistol Qualification Course (VA TQC1)
GBT Patrol Rifle Qualification Course
Scenario-based shooting
Legal Factors Affecting Deadly Force
 
This class will be moderately physically demanding, so students should be prepared to perform under pressure. This is not an introductory or beginners class. Students should have prior training on the pistol and carbine from a reputable instructor, or relevant job experience (LE/Military/Contractor).
 
Class requirements:
Quality Pistol and Carbine. Class will not be stopped to perform repairs on weapons.
Quality holster, that is designed for the pistol that is being used. No nylon holsters, or holsters which require the trigger finger to defeat retention (Serpa-style).
Quality sling. One or two-point (two point recommended).
At least 650 rounds of factory loaded pistol ammunition, and 600 rounds of carbine ammunition. At least 200 rounds of the carbine ammo should be non-green tip.
At least 4 pistol magazines, and the ability to retain at least 3 on the body (the more the better). Single-stack shooters should bring double that amount.
At least 4 carbine magazines, and the ability to retain at least three on the body.
Seasonally appropriate clothing, with proper footwear.
Eye and ear protection (Electronic hearing protection highly recommended).
 
Recommended:
Weapon lube and cleaning kit.
Spare carbine bolt.
Elbow and knee pads.
Hat with brim.
Sunscreen and insect repellent (bugs are really bad at our range!).
Sufficient water and food to last the day (there are no nearby restaurants).
IFAK/First Aid kit.
Plate carrier.
