SHORT CIRCUIT & POWER FLOW ANALYSIS AND OPERATION OF POWER SYSTEMS FOR ENGINEERS
DAY- 1 (3 .00PM-09.00PM) & DAY 2 (03.00PM-09.00PM)
Overview
Engineers who need a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and solutions for protecting electrical power systems should attend this course.
It addresses elements of system analysis as well as system operation and control. This course is intended for new electrical engineering graduates working in the power industry with little or no power background, and experienced engineers who want to refresh their knowledge and learn of new developments in the industry.
PROT 1105 provides an overview of the principles and schemes for protecting power lines, transformers, buses, generators, and motors, and introduces the fundamentals of wide-area protection. The course provides basic guidelines for relay application and settings calculation. It also reviews basic power system concepts and describes instrument transformers.
