  • Learn to evaluate the effectiveness of your supervision
  • Review rules for licensure supervision in Missouri
  • Explore the responsibilities of work-related supervision versus licensure supervision

NASW Missouri Chapter

The National Association of Social Workers Missouri Chapter is the largest professional association of social workers in the state, with over 1,400 members. Our members represent NASW throughout the state, living and working in rural, suburban, and urban counties. Our members work in wide range of settings among diverse populations. The Missouri Chapter office is located in in downtown Jefferson City, just blocks from the Capital Building. We are a non-profit professional membership organization for degreed social workers as well as students matriculating through Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited schools.

Linda Richards is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the mental health field for over 30 years. She has a history of working with the developmentally disabled, public aid services, the elderly, juvenile delinquents and children with emotional and psychological problems. She has also worked with military families and their children, soldiers in training, active duty and retired soldiers. She has experience in treating trauma in children and adults, as well as eating disorder related issues by utilizing a number of techniques, to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). She has conducted workshops on a variety of topics to include, but not limited to, eating disorders, equine assisted psychotherapy, secondary trauma, and ethics. She has been a licensure supervisor for seven years.
