From Eastern European Jews to South American Jews; from Israeli Jews to the Jews of Uganda, we’ll learn about our broad diversity from Ariella Rada of the Israeli Consulate to the Midwest and Cantor Steven Stoehr of Beth Shalom Congregation. And, of course, CNS President Greta Rothschild will kick off Summer Camp 2019.
We’re not just Reform, Conservative and Orthodox. Rabbi Lizzi Heydemann, founder of Mishkan Chicago and Rabbi Capers Funnye of Beth Shalom B’nai Zaken Ethiopian Hebrew Congregation of Chicago, will open our minds and hearts to new experiences of Judaism.
Small but mighty describes the medical community in Israel, of which Hadassah Medical Organization is the jewel in the crown. Dr. Ben Domb, leading local orthopedist, will discuss his experiences and training at Hadassah. Dr. Elisha Waldman, pediatric oncologist at Lurie Children’s Hospital, will recall his time at Hadassah Hospital.
Explore the diversity in Chicago’s Jewish community with the film by Beverly Siegel, Romance of a People: Jewish History of Chicago. We’ll close Summer Camp 2019 with entertainment from well-known Chicago musician Shirlee Todd and her accompanist.
Sale ends on 07/10/2019
