A “Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program” is a residential facility that provides integrated program of specialized and intensive care and supervision, services and supports, treatment, and short-term 24-hour care and supervision to children.

Who should take this course?
A group home administrator and possessing a valid group home certificate issued by the Department, is exempt from completing the forty (40) hours of Initial Certification Training Program classroom instruction and passing the written exam, as described in sections 87064.2(b)(1) and (2) below, provided the individual has completed 12 hours of Department-approved courses.
What do I receive at the end of the course?
Each person will recieve a certificate of completion.
