Learn how to use stitching to create over-dyed Shibori mandalas. We'll start with white or pre-dyed cloth, learn how to mark out stitching, stitch to create your design, and then we'll end at the Indigo vat to dye our final products! This is a fabulously relaxing class for the creative mind and you'll leave with Shibori stitching know-how and the coolest textile ready for hanging on the wall, making into a pillow, or for your own creation. 

 

Class Includes:

  • Instruction for Shibori stitching techniques
  • Test fabric swatch
  • A white or pre-dyed textile to dye
  • Sewing kit that is yours to keep (special needle and leather thimble)
  • Post-dye fabric treatment (to take home)
