STEM Summit: Robotics Registration Partial Approval - $75.00

Students will have the opportunity to be introduced to robotics and learn of the many capabiliites associated with the different tasks that they can perform. Student controllers and programmers will learn about thier robot, demonstrate proficiency in it's many uses, display thier learnings at the summit, and continue the exploration of robotics afterward by taking thier robotic unit home to continue testing. Lunch is included in the ticket price and parents have the option to purchase a lunch ticket as an addon. Parents will be engaged during the summit by participating in STEM workshops, hearing from guest speakers, and interacting with the students during demonstration times.

Event Summary:

The Boy Scouts of America Occoneechee Council, NCCU, and Teach-One Tech Inc. are working in collaboration to organize the STEM Summit Series featuring Robotics. This is an opportunity for students to become more acquainted with STEM and all that can be achieved through STEM experiences. Our June 4th Summit will provide students with an introduction to robotics and allow for students to participate as a controller or programmer for their very own personal robotic unit. The cost of the summit is $75. Register quickly! Registration begins on April 15th and closes on May 1st. 

Students

Students will be provided with: 1 programmable robot, 1 Limited edition T-shirt, lunch, and will have the opportunity to receive various giveaways via raffle. 

Parents

 

Parents will have the opportunity to learn more about STEM as the students are learning about robotics. We have various speakers and community leaders who will be available to provide parents with information about existing and upcoming programs that will aid their students in staying engaged in learning and STEM. Parents can purchase lunch for $8.00 at the time of acceptance for their student.
