Staying on Track with Healthy Eating Workshop

Club Members who sign up for our live kitchen demonstration workshop at the Beaumont Weight Control Center will learn firsthand how to maneuver through the work week with healthy meals and snack ideas to equip you with the energy needed to successfully conquer each school day.  Food samples will be available to help start you on your way to healthy eating!  You will leave the workshop with healthy eating tips and recipes you cannot wait to try out.  This will be a fun and healthy way to spend an afternoon you won’t want to miss!

Mary Ligotti-Hitch, BS, RDN, will be the presenter. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and is registered through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and certified in Adult Weight Loss Management.  Mary has held various positions working with adults, children and families, in the area of providing nutrition information/education through individual counseling sessions, group nutrition classes, cooking classes and demonstrations, community presentations, and social media.  Mary has been a Dietitian with the Beaumont Weight Control Center since 2008.

The August 21^st workshop will take place at the Beaumont Weight Control Center Demonstration Kitchen.  The Weight Control Center is housed inside the Beaumont Health and Wellness Center located on Coolidge Highway between Maple Road and 14 Mile Road at 4949 Coolidge Highway, Royal Oak, MI 48073. 

Enter the building through the Weight Control Center entrance.  There are two entrances when you are facing the building.  The entrance to the Weight Control Center is the entrance closer to Coolidge (or to the left when facing the building).  There is a beige awning and a blue sign on the door that reads Beaumont Weight Control.  Once you enter through that door you will see our front desk.  The front desk staff can direct people to the Demonstration Kitchen.  There are no security issues to be aware of.
