Join Doug Fitzgerald (licensed ADK guide, long-term DEC employee, designer of the original VIC trail system, co-chair of Friends of St. Regis Mountain Fire Tower and tall tale teller) for a day long interpretive hike up St. Regis mountain. Come prepared with sturdy footwear, rain gear, a brown bag lunch and plenty of water. This is a 7 mile RT hike, moderately difficult with some steep sections, expect to be on the trail for 4-5 hours. No dogs. MEET AT THE ST. REGIS trailhead on Keese Mill Road at 9am sharp.
Cap the day by returning to the VIC later in the evening to watch the actual lighting of the fire tower from our back deck! The tower lighting is at 9PM.
